The World Peace Cafe Atlanta is an outgrowth of the Rameshori Buddhist
Center in the Atlanta area. Most of the wait staff are volunteers from
the Buddhist Center nearby. There are 7 total World Peace Cafe's in
the world, from Hong Kong to Paris, to England.
Tony Coleo is the chef of this peaceful retreat from the hectic world.
He uses classic concepts in cooking to enhance the vegetarian menu.
You will find sandwiches like Tony's Pimento Cheese to "The Full
Veggie". Their wonderful salads are filling and fresh. If you're
looking for entrees you will find Mushroom stroganoff or Grilled
Polenta Cake with Eggplant Caponata. Chef Tony is inventive and loves
experimenting with new food. Every effort is made to incorporate
local, and organic food in the menu.
It is important to Chef Tony Coleo to have a peaceful mind set when he
is cooking. We talked about how important that is to the actual taste
of the food. The person who is cooking actually imbues the food with
their intention. Stop the cafe to get your dose of peace.
